ACLS Initial

Format:

ACLS Initial– Lectures, videos, and megacodes will be completed to enhance your ACLS knowledge. You will be presented with the latest AHA guidelines.

*Class length will vary by class size (estimate 8 hours).

*Pizza or similar lunch will be provided (if you have special diet needs, plan accordingly)

  1. Complete The ACLS Precourse Self-Assessment with a score of at least 70%, then print the course completion page and bring it to class.
    (If it is your first time on the AHA website, you must “create an account.” Your account will also be used to retrieve your updated provider eCard later, so it is good to write down and remember your username & password).
      OR
    Complete the combined ACLS Precourse Self-Assessment AND Precourse Work class if you wish to better refresh your memory beforehand by reviewing course content through online videos–achieving a score of at least 70%–and then print the course completion page and bring it to class.
    **No matter which of the two courses you choose, you must print the course completion page and bring it to class or email it to AHA@wnyhe.com
  2. Please make an effort to bring a current AHA ACLS Textbook with you to class. Textbooks can usually be borrowed from a school or work library. If you wish to purchase one, use these links (eBook/paperback)

Attendance:
• Failure to attend class without prior notification forfeits any refund
• All cancelations/refunds will require a 5% card processing fee and must be requested 72 hours before the class date
• There is no fee for rescheduling to another class, but all requests should be made 72 hours before the class date
• Participants arriving more than 15 minutes after the scheduled class will be considered a no-show and will not be allowed to enter class
• If you have any physical limitations, please notify a class instructor upon arrival, who will be glad to assist you
